This lightly spiced Apple Pecan stuffing is a lovely alternative to the traditional stuffing
240 ml Chicken Broth
1 medium onion, chopped
4 tbsp butter
200g bread crumbs
2 medium apples, peeled, cored and chopped
60g pecans, chopped
1 tsp ground Sage
25 tsp ground Cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground Peppercorns
Method
In a small saucepan, combine chicken broth, onion, butter and salt. Bring to a quick boil and then reduce heat.
Cover and simmer until onion is tender, about 5-7 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, apples, pecans, sage, cinnamon and pepper. Pour broth mixture over breadcrumbs. Stir to moisten.
Spoon into a greased casserole dish. Bake at 150ÂșC for 25-30 minutes.
